The government of Uttar Pradesh (UP) state provides the scholarship to the eligible students who want to continue their higher education but are in a state to quit their studies because of their poor financial conditions.

PostMatric(11-12), PostMatric(institute) & Prematric Scholarship in Uttar Pardesh is being distributed among the Students of BC, SC and ST. The students can fill the form online. The students can also check their application status as well as can renew their application online. There are three types of scholarship provided for the studies of eligible students. They are;

  • Pre matric scholarship: this scholarship is for the students who are studying below 10th
  • Post matric scholarship: this scholarship fund is given to the students who are studying in the class 11th to the students of PhD.
  • Merit cum means scholarship: this scholarship is provided to those students who did their professional or technical course after their 12th


All students are not eligible for scholarship. The students eligible are;

  • Those students who are brilliant in their studies, but are financially weak and their parents are not able to afford the expenses of their studies.
  • Those students who belong to SC, ST or other backward classes.
  • Those students who are citizen of UP district, India.
  • Those students who want to continue their higher education or their studies in UP schools, universities, colleges or institutions.
  • The students belonging to SC and ST must be having the annual income below 2 lakh per annum.
  • The students belonging to minority must not cross the annual income of 1 lakh per annum.
  • The students from other backward clases, the annual income must not exceed 30 thousand.
  • The students of general category who belong to urban area, the annual income must not exceed 25 thousand and those students who belong to rural area, the annual income must not exceed 19 thousand eight hundred.

The students who are eligible to apply for the scholar scheme can register online. The student needs to visit the official website and register themselves. There were approx 39 lakh application registrations for this year, but 22 lakh applications were rejected.

Before filling up the registration form the students must confirm and be aware of the eligibility criteria so that they may not face the problem of rejection of the application form.

The students must fulfill all criteria of eligibility. The students must check their documents twice before uploading them and even check the requirement of documents. All the documents must be original.

The student needs to visit the official website and fill up the application form. There will be different blanks for the required information. The student must cross check the information filled by him/ her.  The information provided while filling up the application must be true and correct.


The documents which are required to register for scholarship scheme are;

  • Caste certificate (if the student in applying because of their caste)
  • Income certificate (for the students applying because of the lower family income, and poor financial condition)
  • Residence certificate (the student need to submit the proof of his present address)
  • Birth certificate (as the proof that the candidate applying for the scholarship is the citizen of the UP district)
  • School or college certificate (the students need to provide this certificate as a proof of their academic qualifications, that the child is good in the academics)
  • Passport size photograph (the student need to upload the passport size photograph as his identity)
  • Signature (the signature of the candidate must also be scanned so that it could get tally with the signature at exam hall)

All the documents must be checked twice and after completing the whole process the application form will get submitted and will be followed for verification.


After applying for registration the students can check their application status whenever they want to. The students must visit the official website and on the home page they can find a “status” button. The students need to click on the status button then proceed to “application status” option. After choosing application status the student will need to type their registration number on the box provided. The registration number is that number which was allotted to the student while they registered for the scholarship scheme. The student will then click on the “submit” button. Their application status will be visible thereafter.

  2. After opening the official site, click “Register” link. If you have already registered then you can also click the “Login” button to fill up the remaining details.
  3. Fill up the registration form with all the correct details. Your application will be rejected if you entered any wrong information.
  4. Upload your digitally scanned photograph and the signature.
  5. Keep a well-printed copy of your online application form for any future needs.

PMSS CAPF & Assam Rifles Scholarship Application

PMSS or Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme or Pradhanmantri special scholarship scheme was introduced for the children and wives of the martyred army soldiers, ex-servicemen or ex-guards, (below officers rank only) by the Ministry of Home Affairs.

With the support of National Defense funds in 2006 -07, PMSS was introduced under the guidance of National Defense fund, for the children are encouraged to pursue their higher technical education and the professional degree courses from the government recognized universities. The widows of the army soldiers are also supported and are helped to pursue further education.

Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme (PMSS) is launched for Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) and Assam Rifled (AR).


The total number of scholarships which will be approved by the government will be two thousand in numbers. These two thousand scholarships will be equally given to the boys and the girls for each academic year including the renewal applications.


The PMSS application is for two to five years of the period. The students need to renew their application every year. A scholarship will be canceled in case of failure or reappearance of the student.


The eligibility criteria for the students who can apply for PMSS

  • The children and the widows of Central Armed Police Force and Assam Rifled personnel, who died during their duty.
  • The children of that personnel who got disabled while serving the government.
  • The children of ex CAPF and AR, who earned the Gallantry Award.
  • The children of the retired and serving personnel of CAPF and AR, those below the officer’s rank.
  • The children who scored a minimum of 60% of marks in MEQ (Minimum Entry Qualification), applies to fresh applicants.
  • The children applying for their renewal of the application needs to pass the previous examination held, scoring the minimum of 50% marks.
  • The students who are studying in their second semester or so are not eligible for the scholarship.
  • The students who are studying abroad are not eligible for this scholarship scheme.



The courses which are offered in the PMS scheme are mentioned below:

  • Medical courses
  • Technical courses
  • Management courses
  • Master degree courses are not offered in PMSS except MBA and MCA
  • Distance learning courses are not permitted under this scholarship scheme.


PMSS offers the scholarship amount for the students is:

  • For girls the scholarship amount is 27 thousand per annum, that is the monthly fund offered is 2250/- INR
  • For boys the scholarship amount is 24 thousand per annum, that is the monthly fund offered is 2000/- INR


The documents which are required by the students for filling up the application and completing the process for scholarship scheme are:

  • Service certificate (of the personnel served for the government to be issued by the head)
  • Bonafide certificate (which is issued by the Dean/ principal/ registrar)
  • Bank details (including account number, IFS code, blank canceled cheque, and with the name of the student)
  • Scanned and attested copy of 10th and 12th
  • Birth certificate (of the student)
  • Death certificate (if the personnel died during war or his service)
  • Disability certificate (if the personnel become disabled during any service to the government)
  • Certificate of Gallantry award (if the personnel had achieved)
  • Candidate’s photograph


The students need to visit the official website for the scholarship scheme. On the home screen of the official website, there will be an option for registration. The student needs to register him/ her by filling up the required information on the application form. The student will get the user ID and password after registration. The ID and password will help to again login if the student needs to edit or fill any other detail. The student needs to click on the submit button after completing the application and uploading the photograph or other documents required. The application form will be forwarded for verification.

The online application form should be completed with all the basic information and by uploading all the required documents on or before the last date of submission. The students can also fill the offline application form. The form should be downloaded from the official website, if submitted in any other format, will not be considered.

One candidate is allowed to register only ones and to only apply for one course. Multiple registrations can cause the cancellation or rejection of the application as well as strict action could be taken against them. The information provided by the students should be correct and true.

Selection will be done on the basis of the category of ex-servicemen/ ex-coastguard and on the percentage scored in MEQ.


The scholarship fund will be directly credited to the bank account of the applicant. The first payment will be credited as soon as the student will be selected for the scholarship. The student needs to renew by submitting online payment cum renewal form with the bonafied certificate issued by the college or institution attended, signed by the head. The renewal process is needed to be done each year after the completion of their each academic year till the completion of the whole course.


It is necessary for every student to submit their bank details as the funds will be transferred to their respective account. The account should be in the name of the candidate himself/ herself. Their bank account must be linked to their aadhar number. Accounts should be in State Bank of India or in Punjab National Bank.

Jharkhand e-Kalyan Scholarship Application status

The e kalyan yojna is the scholarship scheme by the welfare department of government. The welfare department of the government produces various schemes for the welfare and development of the backward classes as well as of SC and ST and minority students. This is a step towards making the organization quick, aware and understanding. In this system all the welfare departments are linked to the higher departments of the government to pay the funds of scholarship. The whole process includes, filling up the application by the students, verification of applications and passing those applications for the valid scholarship scheme.

  • Pre metric
  • Post metric (within the state)
  • Post metric (outside the state)


Jharkhand government has launched the official website for the students to apply for scholarship. The scholarship is based on the academic excellence and backward classes. The amount that will be received will vary from each other. The students who are perusing their degree courses, their fee will directly be sent to their respective colleges and in case of other students applied for scholarship their money will be sent to their bank accounts. The amount will vary in each case, according the criteria required. The bank account has to send the SMS to the student on the number provided by them, when the amount will be taken out from their account. The students who had applied for the respective scholarships, they need to check their status of the application regularly.


Documents are needed to be submitted while filling the application form. Required documents are listed in the application form. Few of the documents needed are listed below:

  • Marksheet of previous year (needed to check the academic merit of the student, on which the scholarship is based)

All the students related to SC/ ST/ OBC or minorities are not allowed for applying for the scholarship. There is a criteria for filling up the scholarship application form.

First of all it is necessary for the student to be the residence of Jharkhand and are not able to pay the fee for their further studies. The family income of SC and ST should not cross Rs. 2 lakh per annum and for OBC, the income should not cross Rs.1 lakh per annum.

If while verification any student found guilty for filling up the wrong information in the scholarship application form, strict action will be taken against them and further they will not be able to apply for these scholarships.


The students need to have their login ID and password, which was generated to them while they applied for the scholarship application. The students must also have their application form with them. The students can check their application status on the official website of e kalyan the student just need to go to the official website page, there they can see various icons, the student need to click on the icon where its written “student login”. There will be options on the screen to type your ID and password, by entering the required information the student will able to login the scholarship application filled by him/ her. The student will get the option on the screen to check the status of their application. By clicking on the required option, they will be able to check the status of their application easily.
